Browse Amazon.co.uk and you'll find everything including the kitchen sink! You'll find much more than books and Amazon competes head on with eBay and Play.com as the place to look for bargains and hard to find products.
The key thing you need to understand is that they don't stock all of the products advertised on site.
Like eBay and Play.com third-party sellers can advertise their products and they will dispatch their products directly to you. You are partly covered by Amazon's terms and conditions but you do need to be aware you're not always buying directly from Amazon.
Once you have set up an account and payment method it's really easy to buy - you can optionally activate 1-click buying which is a shopaholic's paradise! If you're a regular Amazon shopper check out the Amazon Prime service which gets you free, often next day, delivery on most Amazon stocked products - look out for the Amazon Prime logo when you are shopping. You can add up to 5 family members which makes it a much better deal overall.
Amazon offers pretty much everything (it would be quicker to list what they don't sell) from books to music to gardening, house and home, DIY power tools and garden tools, home and garden furniture, electronics and electricals, household appliances, TVs and a comprehensive range of computing accessories, the latest netbooks, laptops, iPads, iPods and Apple Mac computers and software. Prices are always competitive but always be aware if you're buying direct from Amazon or a third party Amazon marketplace trader where thousands of traders are competing for your business and the customer service level can be patchy in our experience.
